My websites were recently hacked and someone added the code “customessaywriter.org/research-paper” and image “research_paper2.jpg”. Any Sitecake users experience the same?
Are you sure this is connected with Sitecake?
Sitecake is more secure than WordPress by default because
- Sitecake is not nearly as popular as WordPress. It’s just matter of efficiency for hacker to create hacks for more popular platforms than less popular platform.
- Sitecake manages static websites. Not much to hack on a static website. It’s just HTML / CSS.
How to prevent ‘hacking’ of a Sitecake website:
- Change default password immediately. Don’t leave it as ‘admin’
- Change login entry point php from sitecake.php to whatever.php (there is a config option for this
entry_point_file_name = sitecake.php
