Sitecake Version Checker error

I’m trying to use Sitecake for a single simple page, but its not working. I have followed the all the instructions, but the editing its not working. Google Chrome’s inspect mode is returning this error:

When clicked it shows this:

It seems that Sitecake its failing to verify its own version… I dont know. I cant find any solution anywhere. I’m using the 2.2.10 version, which is the latest version availiable so far.
What happens is that sc-content do not work and I cant edit my page.

Any help?

Dos the developers know what is cousing this error?

We are aware of the version issue, but that is not causing you a problem.

Mostly when editing is not working users have z-index of an element the website that is covering Sitecake controls. Try not to load css styles for your website and see if it Sitecake works. If it does then search for z-index property on the element that is causing the problem.
