Sitecake /installation: Error handler being triggered, causing further error

Hi, I’m just trying Sitecake for the first time, but I’m struggling to get it to work.

Once everything is uploaded, when I head to sitecake.php, I get the following message…

Sitecake\Error\PHP7ErrorException: (ParseError) - syntax error, unexpected 'version' (T_STRING) in file [SITE]/sitecake/2.4.5/src/Sitecake/Error/ErrorHandler.php on line (#102)

…which suggests that there’s not just a problem with the version checking process, but also that something is triggering the error handler.

Is this a common problem? I’ve just unzipped and uploaded the zip file.

Hi, this is first time I see it. Can you try to re-upload and unzip sitecake again. You could also try to go to www.yourdomain.com/sitecake/2.4.5/config/check.php. If you don’t figure out what’s wrong from there, please send url to your domain as PM so I can check it out.
