GDPR (DSGVO) related features in Sitecake

Dear forum & Sitecake team,

As I mentioned in an earlier mail before, I think about using Sitecake for new small client websites. Therefore the website and the used cms needs to be GDPR compliant.

I looked, but didn’t find any privacy policy on the Sitecake website and none regarding the framework itself.

So are you using any GDPR related features in Sitecake? Is there any usertracking or cookie usage?

Safi,

Sitecake is just website editing tool, not a SAAS application.

  • It does not require email for login so it can not identify nor track users.
  • It does not use cookies
  • Sitecake pings our server once the editing session is open and sends IP address of the server, domain name and browser version. This data we use to know what browser versions are in use and the number of websites that are managed by Sitecake. This data is not connected with user privacy and thus not under GDPR compliance rules.
