Are the files supposed to be PHP or HTML?

I read the post listing the differences in ver1 vs ver2, Do I understand it correctly that in ver2, the files need to be all .HTML files? or are they supposed to be all .PHP files?
Thank you for any clarification.

You are correct, in v2 all files should be HTML files. V2 is specifically made for static HTML files first. There would be built another variation of v2 that will work with PHP files too. It’s scheduled for March 2016.

I can’t seem to find V2 Documenation anywhere, I’m confused as to where can I look for the Actual up to date information!?

http://sitecake.com/docs/install.html = First of all I’m not the getting the results I want by uploading the sitecake folder to the root directory of my folder that I’m testing sitecake. Until I finally found out that I had to cut the client and server files from inside the version folder and place them outside. #2 I’m following this simple steps and no results from the front page: http://sitecake.com/ (Front page on How to install and NOPE)

IS there any page that I can follow up to date information on how to set up V2? thank you.
*Also I just found out that I don’t have to rename my index to php and I can leave it as html (I’m a user from v1)

Documentation for v2 is under Docs link in the top menu. Please read these 3-5 pages on Github and if there are still questions please ask again.

Excuse me, can i use sitecake with php files now?

Not yet. Wait for the next week update. We just released some bug fixes with 2.2.11.

Next week will bring new functionality and php support.
